Day 2 – Chemical Evolution

On the second day of evolution, chemical were created.  This is the evolution that occurred over billions of years to bring big bang matter (hydrogen, helium, and lithium) to our present day chemicals identified on the periodic table.

The conditions of the Big Bang were not right for the heavier elements to form so secular astronomers believe that nuclear fusion in the cores of stars produced these heavier elements.

Some of these stars formed into very large stars like supernova and exploded, distributing heavier elements throughout the universe.
