Evolution – What is the definition of evolution?

There are two definitions of evolution that I got from Webster would like to use on this website:

The first definition evolution:

“A process of change in a certain direction (unfolding);  a process of continuous change from a lower, simpler, or worse to a higher, more complex, or better state; a process of working out or developing.”

The second definition defines the debate between creation and evolution:

“the historical development of a biological group (as a race or species): a theory that the various types of animals and plants have their origin in other preexisting types and that the distinguishable differences are due to modifications in successive generations; also the process described by this theory.”

Notice two things:

  1. Webster is calling Evolution a Theory.
  2. Webster is defining the theory of evolution as a modification in successive generations.

Are these statements or claims really true?  Well that is what we address on this site.  Check it out.

One more thing.  The problem with this definition is that it does not address the entire claim and Theory of Evolution…. That everything you detect with your senses came out of the big bag.  Another way of putting it is that everything came from nothing.

Most people think of biological evolution when they think of evolution.  The fact is that “the theory of evolution” is a all encompassing theory on how everything you see, feel and smell evolved to where we are today.

Evolution is the materialistic or non-theistic explanation of how the universe came  into existence.  Creation is the theistic explanation

The Theory of Evolution asserts states that the entire undirected, random, by chance processes of natural selection and random mutations are fully capable of producing the intricate, and purposeful structures in living systems.

The purpose of this website is to examine the question: “Is evolution true?”  Is it compatible with the know Laws of Nature?
